   Every Memorial Day Weekend, 4th of July and Labor Day Weekend you can find boats of all shapes and sizes coming together at Hell's Gate.  The boats are then tethered together to form a "raft" of immense proportions.
   Right before Spring is the Mardi Gras Parade and Party.  Homemade floats, delicious food, costumes and prizes insure fun for all. King Possum & Queen Carp are named and rule over the festivities.
   Each Fall announces the preparations for the Annual Chili Cook off featuring chilies, beans, brisket, barbecued ribs, chicken and cobblers. Winners of each category are selected but it's the crowd that are the real winners with good food, fellowship and great music.  Come hungry!
   Maybe you just want to get a hook wet and see what you can catch.  By boat, on a dock or from the shore, the fishing is great!   Fishing Tournaments are held at Possum Kingdom Lake on a regular basis throughout the year.  What ever your preference: catfish, crappie, perch, bass, or that record striper, are waiting for you here at Beautiful Possum Kingdom Lake.
